Post-Call Texting on Dialer Video and Dialer Voice (in Beta)

Now after your video and phone calls, you have the option to send your patients a no-reply post-call text message. To see how the feature works follow the steps below.

Note: This beta feature is only available on iOS and will be coming to Android and dialer desktop soon!

How to access post-call texting after a Dialer Video Call

If your patient joins your call:

1) Start a Dialer video call in the Doximity app on your iPhone (Android & Desktop coming soon)

2) Have your telehealth video visit and hang up the video call

3) You'll then see the screen below with the option to send your patient a no-reply text, tap "Schedule Follow-up"

4) Tapping "Schedule follow-up" will bring up the text template below. On this screen you can edit the template to your liking and when you're ready to send it to your patient tap "Send" in the upper right corner of your screen

5) That's it! Your patient will then receive the no-reply text from an 882-86 number and it will look like the below

If your patient does not join the call:

1) If your patient doesn't join your video call then you'll then see the screen below where you're given the option of two no-reply text templates, "I'll try again soon" or "Please reschedule"

2) Tap the template you want to send, edit it to your liking, and tap "Send" in the upper right corner of your screen 

3) That's it! Your patient will then receive your no-reply text from an 882-86 number 

 

How to access post-call texting after a Dialer Voice Call

If your patient answers your call:

1) Place a Dialer phone call to your patient in the Doximity app on your iPhone (Android & Desktop coming soon)

2) Have the phone call with your patient and hang up when you are done

3) When you hang up, you'll then see the screen below with the option to send your patient a no-reply text, tap "Schedule Follow-up"

4) Tapping "Schedule follow-up" will bring up the text template below. On this screen you can edit the template to your liking and when you're ready to send it to your patient tap "Send" in the upper right corner of your screen

5) That's it! Your patient will then receive the no-reply text from an 882-86 number and it will look like the below

FAQ’s

1) What devices support post-call texting?

The beta version of the post-call texting feature is only available on iOS (iPhone) right now. It will be coming to android and dialer desktop soon! 

2) Why is this feature not showing up on my device?

Currently, this feature is only available on iOS (iPhone) for our beta users. If you are not seeing it on your iOS device and you are part of the beta program please make sure you are operating on the latest version of the Doximity app, here's how to check. 

3) How do I get added to the beta program?

If you'd like to get access to the iOS (iPhone) post-call texting beta please email beta@doximity.com.

4) Why is this feature not showing up on my desktop video calls?

Currently, this feature is only available on iOS (iPhone).

5) Does post-call texting work after dialer video and voice calls? 

Yes, the post-call texting feature appears after Dialer video and phone calls.

6) Can I customize the text I send? 

Yes, after tapping a pre-set template you can delete everything in the template and type your own custom message.

7) How do I add a template to the pre-set list?

Right now users cannot add their own templates to the pre-set list however, we are actively working on adding more templates based on the feedback we receive from our beta users. Have a template you'd like to see? Let us know here.

8) Is there a way to see if my patient has read my text?

Yes, once your patient reads your text message, you will receive a notification. To receive notifications when your patient reads your message, please enable your notifications

9) Do my patients have to give consent to receive these text messages?

Yes, your patient will see the consent screen below where they'll have to opt-in every time you send them a Doximity post-call text.
