DocsGPT uses GPT4, the engine that powers ChatGPT. The large language model (LLM) has been optimized for dialogue using Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) and has been additionally trained with a broad range of healthcare documentation.
2. How can DocsGPT assist me?
DocsGPT is intended to offer writing assistance for a variety of healthcare-specific documents, including clinical correspondence, insurance pre-authorization and appeal letters, patient education materials, and more. It can translate text between numerous languages and adapt content according to literacy level. Thanks to Doximity’s strict HIPAA-compliant security protocols and identity verification requirements, DocsGPT users can feel safe including personal health information (PHI) in DocsGPT prompts.
3. Is DocsGPT HIPAA-Compliant?
Yes. All DocsGPT data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Doximity also has BAAs in place with OpenAI (who maintains the engine that powers DocsGPT), and with all health system partners with active DocsGPT license agreements. 4. What are the limitations of DocsGPT?
Similar to other generative AI tools, DocsGPT does not have awareness of clinical data or global occurrences beyond September 2021. Therefore, certain information it provides may be outdated. It is crucial to note that the accuracy of citations generated by DocsGPT cannot be guaranteed.
We recommend caution in relying on DocsGPT for clinical decision support, as inaccuracies might occur. It's also important to independently verify any factual claims produced by DocsGPT, as generative AI tools may include false or inaccurate statements.
5. Who can use DocsGPT, and what is the cost?
Individual DocsGPT access is available at no charge to all U.S. physicians, NPs, PAs, pharmacists, CRNAs, and medical students through their verified Doximity accounts. Additionally, Doximity offers enterprise-level solutions for hospitals and health systems.
6. How can I send faxes from DocsGPT?
DocsGPT is integrated with Doximity’s free digital fax service. From the DocsGPT interface, simply click the “Send Fax” option in the right-hand sidebar. This action will generate a new fax, with the output of your most recent query attached. Within the fax interface, you will be able to edit the contents of your attachment, add a cover sheet and recipient information, and even annotate with your signature.
7. How do I claim my free Doximity fax number?
