Video Calling on Behalf of Physicians - Hand Off Process

With the new Video Dialer Hand Off feature Nurses or Medical Assistants can make video calls to patients on behalf of a physician. Please note, that to utilize the Dialer Hand-Off feature, users will need to be part of a Care Team.

Once part of a Care Team, nurses and medical assistants will have the ability to start a video call, complete check-in of the patient, and then hand off the patient to the physician.

How to Hand Off a Phone Call to a Physician on your Care Team

  • The nurse / MA enters the patient’s phone number and starts a video call.
  • The nurse / MA selects the physician they’ll make the video call on behalf of and places the call.

  • The nurse / MA hands off the call to the physician after checking in the patient
  • The physician gets an SMS with the video link to join.
