Providers can now opt to allow patients to send a one-time reply to a Dialer text message.
If your provider has enabled this option, you can send a one-time reply to their text within the timeframe listed in their message.
NOTE: Response timeframes may vary based on your provider’s selection. Providers can choose a reply window between 1 and 24 hours. Please review your provider’s text message for the specific timeframe.
Once the reply window has expired, the text message will expire, and the option to send a one-time reply will no longer be available.
PLEASE NOTE: If your provider has not enabled one-time replies for their Dialer text message, you will not be able to respond.
Text messages that allow a one-time reply will clearly indicate that a response is required within a specific timeframe.
How To Send A One-Time Reply:
- You will receive a text message from an 882-86 number notifying you that your provider has sent you a text.
- To view or reply to the message, tap on the link in the text message.
- If your provider has enabled the option to receive a one-time reply, you can submit your one-time response using the reply field below their Dialer text message.
- Patients may also tap Translate to view the text in a different language.
- Tapping on Translate will display a drop-down menu of the languages that you can translate the text message into.
- Once you have composed your response, tap Send to submit your message.
NOTE: Responses can only be submitted once.
- After your one-time reply has been sent, you will see a confirmation page letting you know your reply was successfully submitted.
- The confirmation page will also include an option to call your doctor’s office if you need additional assistance or need to further contact your provider.
- If you do not open and respond to the text message within the specified timeframe, the message will expire, and the option to send a one-time reply will no longer be available.
