The office phone number listed on your Doximity profile will automatically populate as your caller ID in Dialer.
Caller ID Limitations
- A maximum of 10 caller ID numbers can be saved.
- To enhance account security, non-enterprise users can update their Caller ID up to 10 times per month.
- If this limit is exceeded, an error message will appear, and additional updates will not be allowed until the limit resets.
- Users with Diale Enterprise accounts may have special permissions that allow for additional updates based on their institution's agreement.
How To Add, Edit, Or Delete A Caller ID On The Doximity App:
iOS
- Open the Doximity app and tap the Dialer tab
- Tap the Settings icon in the upper-left corner
- Tap on Caller IDs
Add a Caller ID:
- Tap on Add Caller ID
- Enter a Nickname and the Phone Number you want to display
- Tap on Save
Edit a Caller ID:
- Tap Edit in the upper-right corner
- Tap the Pencil icon next to the caller ID you want to update
- Make your desired changes, then tap Save to confirm or Delete to remove the caller ID
Delete a Caller ID:
- Tap Edit in the upper-right corner
- Tap the Red Circle icon next to the number you want to remove
- Then tap the red Delete button that appears to the right to remove the caller ID
ANDROID
- Open the Doximity app and tap the Dialer tab
- Tap the Settings icon in the upper-right corner
- Tap on Caller IDs
Add a Caller ID:
- Tap on the blue + Add Caller ID button
- Enter a Nickname and the Phone Number you want to display
- Tap Save
Edit a Caller ID:
- Tap the Pencil icon next to the caller ID you want to update
- Make your desired changes
- Tap Save to confirm
Delete a Caller ID:
- Tap the Pencil icon next to the caller ID you want to remove
- Tap Delete to remove the caller ID
