Doximity profiles are available to licensed U.S. healthcare professionals. In many cases, Doximity may already have a placeholder (“stub”) profile for clinicians based on publicly available data from the NPI database.
As a result, joining the network typically begins by claiming your existing profile.
Register On The Mobile App
1. Download and Open the App
Install and open the free Doximity app on your phone.
- On the Sign In page, tap the Find your profile option located near the bottom of the screen.
2. Find Your Profile - Enter Your Name or NPI
When selecting your profile in the app, you can search using either your name or your NPI number.
- To search by name, enter your first and last name and tap Find my profile.
- To search by NPI, enter your NPI number and tap Find my profile.
3. Select Your Profile
If your name matches an existing profile, you’ll see a list with names, credentials, and locations.
If no match is found, you’ll be prompted to create a new account.
Tap the profile that belongs to you.
If you don’t see your profile, try searching with a nickname or maiden name.
If you still don’t find your profile, tap “Don’t see your name? Select to create a new account” at the bottom of the screen to register manually.
4. Verify Your Identity
Answer the verification questions to confirm your identity.
- If you are not an MD, DO, NP, PA, or Pharmacist, please follow these verification steps.

Enter your email address and create a password.
Tip: Use your professional medical domain email address to expedite verification.
You can add a personal email later for backup.
5. Complete Registration
If you are unable to verify your account during registration, you’ll receive an email with further instructions.
Register On The Website
1. Start on the Homepage
Go to the Doximity homepage and navigate to New to Doximity? Find your profile
Click the blue “Find your profile” button near the bottom of the page, or go directly to:

2. Enter Your Name or NPI
When selecting your profile on the website, you can search by your name or NPI.
When searching by name, type in your first and last name, then click Find my profile.
If searching by NPI, type in your NPI number, then click Find my profile.
3. Select Your Profile
If your name matches an existing profile in our system, a list of profiles will appear showing names, credentials, and location details. If no match is found, you’ll be prompted to create a new account.
Select the profile that belongs to you.

If you still don’t see your profile, scroll to the bottom of the list and click “Don’t see your name? Select to create a new account” to register manually.
4. Verify Your Identity

5. Set Your Login Details
Enter your email address and password.
Use a professional medical domain email address to expedite the verification process.

6. Complete Verification
If you are unable to verify your account during registration, you’ll receive an email with further instructions.
