Every physician, NP, PA, and pharmacist profile on Doximity has a public version that is visible in web search results. Profiles that do not belong to a registered user contain some basic default information. The data on the public profile also powers the U.S. News Doctor Finder.
Once you claim your profile, you have control over what is visible on the public profile. You may also opt to disable your public profile.
How to change what is visible on your public profile:
- Log in to your Doximity account.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to edit your public profile and click on the 'Pencil' icon.
- To disable or enable your public profile, click the checkbox to the left of Enable public profile (shown in the screenshot below).
- When your public profile is enabled, the checkbox will appear blue with a check mark.
- When your public profile is disabled, the checkbox will appear blank.
- If you choose to enable your public profile, you can control which sections appear publicly by checking or unchecking the boxes next to each profile category under the Check sections to display on your public profile section.
- Once you have made your selections, click Save at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.
