Adding an Audio Only Participant to a Desktop Video Call - Pro & Enterprise Only

Dialer Pro and Enterprise users can add an audio-only participant to an active Dialer Video call on the Doximity Website (desktop).

This can be done by selecting either Add People or Add Interpreter from the group calling menu.

Important Notes

  • Dialer Video does not currently support dialing extensions when adding another participant to a video call.
    • If you need to add someone who requires an extension, please use Dialer Voice instead. From Dialer Voice, you can call their number, enter the extension, and then merge them into the call.
  • Adding an audio-only participant will not expose your personal cell phone number to either party. Dialer will automatically display the Caller ID you selected prior to joining your video call.

Start the Video Call

  • To start the video call, enter your patient’s cell phone number and click the green Video icon.

  • A text invite will automatically be sent to your patient from an 882-86 short code.

Add An Audio-Only Participant

  • Once you are connected with your patient in the video room, click the Add icon at the bottom of the screen.
