How to use Wall Charts during a Telehealth Visit in the Doximity app 

1) Start a Dialer video call in the Doximity app.

2) Swipe up on the tool menu at the bottom of the screen to expand the menu, then tap ‘charts’.

3) Select the image you would like to use. The image will begin sharing with your patient.

4) Once you are sharing the wall chart, there are a few ways you can interact with the image:

-To annotate the image: Select your desired pen color. Then draw directly on the image

-To zoom in or out: Pinch to zoom in or out

-To undo an annotation: Tap 'Undo'

-To discard your annotations: Tap 'Clear'

-To stop sharing: Tap the red ‘Stop sharing’ button

How to use Wall Charts during a Telehealth Visit on your computer

1) Start a Dialer video call on your computer by visiting doximity.com/dialer/home

2) Click on the 'Sidebar' icon to open the Tools menu.

3) Click on the ‘Wall Charts’ button

4) Click your Specialty (Note: If we don’t have your specialty listed yet, we recommend using the 'General Medicine' folder)

5) Once in your specialty specific folder, click on the image you would like to share, then click the blue ‘Start Sharing’ button. To return to your call's full view, click the ‘X’ button in the top right-hand corner to close out of the wall charts menu.

6) Once you are sharing the wall chart, there are a few ways to interact with the image:

-To annotate the image: Select your desired pen size and color, then draw directly on the image

-To zoom in or out: Scroll with your mouse or click on the plus or minus sign

-To undo an annotation: Click the undo arrow icon (to the left of the trash can)

-To discard your annotations: Click on the trash icon

How to use the Whiteboard feature in the Doximity App and on your computer

Whiteboard in the Doximity App

1) Start a Dialer video call on the Doximity app

2) Swipe up on the tool menu at the bottom of the screen to expand the menu, then tap ‘charts’.

3) Tap on the ‘Whiteboard’ button at the top of the screen to share the whiteboard with your patient

4) Once you are sharing your whiteboard there are a few things you are able to do:

-To annotate the whiteboard: Select your desired pen size and color. Then draw directly on the whiteboard

-To zoom in or out: Scroll with your cursor or click on the plus or minus sign

-To undo an annotation: Tap the undo arrow button to the left of the trashcan

-To discard your annotations: Tap on the trash button

-To stop sharing: Tap on the red ‘Stop sharing’ button to end the sharing of the wall chart image

1) Start a Dialer video call on your computer by visiting doximity.com/dialer/home

2) Click on the 'Sidebar' icon and open the Tools menu.

3) Click on the ‘Wall Charts’ button and then click ‘Whiteboard’ at the top of the menu. To return to your call's full view, click the ‘X’ button in the top right corner to close out of the wall charts menu.

System Requirements & FAQ

1) What browsers support wallcharts and whiteboard?

The latest version of any of the following browsers: Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge (Chromium).

2) Why is this feature not showing up on my mobile video call?

If you are not seeing it on your iOS or Android device please make sure you are operating on the latest version of the Doximity app.

3) Why is this feature not showing up on my desktop video call?

Currently, this feature is available on newer versions of Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge browsers. Update your browser or access Doximity on the aforementioned browsers to ensure you can utilize this feature. Here is how to check your version of Google Chrome and how to update it.

4) Are custom wall charts available on mobile devices?

Not yet. Custom wall chart uploading ability is coming soon!
