How to Access Custom Backgrounds
iOS
To select a background during a Dialer Video call:
- Start a Dialer video call in the Doximity app
- Tap the Backdrop icon
- Select the background you would like to use during your video call
- Tap Save in the upper-right corner
Android
To select a background during a Dialer Video call
- Start a Dialer Video call in the Doximity app
- Tap the Background icon
- Select the background you would like to use during your video call
- Tap the X icon in the upper-right corner to save your selection and return to the video call
How to Upload a Custom Background
You can upload your own image to use as a custom background during Dialer Video calls.
iOS
To upload a custom background:
- Start a Dialer video call in the Doximity app
- Tap the Backdrop icon
- Tap the + icon
- Select an image from the photos saved on your device
- Tap Choose in the bottom-right corner
- Tap Save
Android
To upload a custom background:
- Start a Dialer video call in the Doximity app
- Tap the Background icon
- Tap + Add
- Tap Select a file or Photo from gallery
- Select an image from the photos saved on your device
- Your custom background will then appear as an available option to use during Dialer Video calls

iOS
To remove or change your custom background:
- Tap the Backdrop icon
- Locate the background currently selected. It will be highlighted in blue
- To remove a custom background, tap the X in the upper corner of the selected custom background
- Tap Delete
- To stop using a custom background, tap None or select a different background option
Android
To remove or change your custom background:
- Tap the Background icon
- Locate the background currently selected. It will be highlighted in blue
- To remove a custom background, tap the ... icon in the upper-right corner of the selected custom background
