1) How can I ensure custom backgrounds work optimally during a video call?

For the best experience, we recommend:

  • Using a strong network connection
  • Choosing a custom background that has a similar color scheme to your actual surroundings
    • For example, if you are in a bright room, selecting a lighter background may help improve the appearance of the background effect
  • Closing unnecessary apps or programs while on the call

Note: Running too many programs at once or screen sharing during a call may cause the call to run more slowly.

2) What operating system supports custom backgrounds?

Custom backgrounds are supported on:

  • iOS devices running iOS 18.0 or later
  • Android devices running Android OS 10 or later
