Q: I’m not receiving my Dialer verification code on Android. What should I do?
If you are not receiving the Dialer verification text during setup, the verification number may be blocked on your Android device. If this number is blocked, your phone may prevent the verification text from being delivered.
To resolve this, check your Android device’s Blocked numbers or Blocked contacts list and unblock the verification number if it appears there.
NOTE: Dialer verification texts are typically sent from 22395. However, the code may occasionally come from a different, similar 5- or 6-digit number.
How to Unblock the Verification Number
- Exit the Doximity app.
- Open the built-in Phone app on your Android device. This is the app you normally use to make calls outside of Doximity.
- Tap the More Options menu, usually shown as three dots in the upper-right corner.
- Tap Settings.
- Go to Blocked numbers or Blocked contacts.
- Look for 22395 or another similar 5- or 6-digit number.
- Tap Unblock, X, or the minus (-) icon next to the number to remove it from your blocked list.
- Restart your device to refresh your settings.
After restarting your device, return to the Doximity app and try completing Dialer setup again.
Requesting a New Verification Text
- Reopen the Doximity app.
- Go to the Dialer tab.
- Tap Link My Phone.
- Enter your phone number again.
- Request a new verification text.
If You Still Do Not Receive the Text
If you still do not receive the verification code, tap Cannot Receive Texts or Didn’t Get A Text.
After tapping Cannot Receive Texts, you will be prompted to call an automated verification number, such as +1 (415)-xxx-xxxx. The last six digits of that phone number are used to complete verification.
Follow the prompts in the app to finish setting up Dialer.
