Why Your Caller ID Name May Look Different to Patients

The name that shows up on a patient’s caller ID is controlled by patient's phone carrier (like Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.). Because of this, Doximity can’t always guarantee how your name appears on patient's display.

Doximity Dialer will show your chosen caller ID number when you place a call. If the patient’s carrier has a name on file for that number, it may appear—but each carrier decides whether a name is shown and what it says.

If you’d like to update or correct the name tied to your office number, you can submit a request directly to your carrier or their caller ID partner:

  1. T-Mobile (via First Orion): https://calltransparency.com/

  2. Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular (via TNS Call Guardian): https://reportarobocall.com/trf/#

  3. AT&T Wireless (via Hiya): https://hiya.com/manageyourcallerid
