Doximity gives you options for managing unwanted or inappropriate messages.
If a message is inappropriate, you can use Report spam to notify Doximity administrators. If you no longer want a user to contact you, you can block them from sending future messages.
Report a Message as Spam
Use the Report spam option if you would like to notify Doximity administrators about an inappropriate message.
To report a message:
- Open the message you would like to report.
- Click the Report spam icon in the upper-right corner of the message screen.
This will notify the Doximity administrative team so the message can be reviewed and appropriate action can be taken as needed.
Block a User From Messaging You
To block a user from sending you future messages:
- Open the message from the user you would like to block.
- Click the three dots next to the date and time stamp of the message.
- Select the option to block the user.
- When prompted, click Block to confirm that you would like to block the user.
Once confirmed, the user will be blocked from sending you future messages.
Unblock a User
If you decide to unblock a user later, you can do so from your Message Settings.
To access your Message Settings:
- Navigate to your Message Inbox
- Click on the 'Gear' icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen to access your Message Settings
- You can also manage your Message Settings directly via this link: https://www.doximity.com/conversation_settings
- Review the list of users you have blocked.
- Click on the 'Trash icon' next to the user you would like to unblock.
- When prompted, confirm that you would like to remove the block.
Once removed, the user will no longer be blocked from messaging you.
