How to block a user from sending you messages via our HIPAA secure service

We offer the option to block another verified specialist from sending you messages via our service.

 

We would ask that everyone tries to work out any issues before using this feature.

We offer an 'Abuse' report option that will notify Administrators within Doximity about inappropriate messaging.

 

To use report 'Abuse' when you received:

  • Access the Message that is inappropriate
  • Tap on the 'Report' icon to the right of the message

That will trigger an email to our Administrative team and we will take action as needed.

 

To Block a user entirely from contacting you:

  • Access the Message that is inappropriate
  • Tap on the 3 dots to the right of the Date/Time stamp of the message

  • A Confirmation Box will appear to ensure you wish to block the user
  • Please confirm

That will block the user from any future messaging.

 

If at a later date you decide to unblock the user, you can do so:

  • Access the Message center with this link:  https://www.doximity.com/conversations
  • Tap on the 'Gear' icon just under your photo/Initials in the top right corner of the screen
  • This will display all users you have blocked
  • Tap on the 'X' to the right of the user you wish to unblock
  • Confirm you wish to remove the block
