How To Add Or Edit Dialer Caller ID Numbers On Desktop

 

The office phone number listed on your Doximity profile will automatically populate as your caller ID in Dialer. 

 

Caller ID Limitations

  • A maximum of 10 caller ID numbers can be saved.
  • To enhance account security, non-enterprise users can update their Caller ID up to 10 times per month.
    • If this limit is exceeded, an error message will appear, and additional updates will not be allowed until the limit resets.
  • Users with Diale Enterprise accounts may have special permissions that allow for additional updates based on their institution's agreement.

 

How To Add, Edit, Or Delete A Caller ID On The Doximity Website: 

  • Log in to your Doximity account
  • Click on the Dialer tab (located on the left side of the screen)
  • Click on the Settings button (located in the bottom left of the screen)
  • Scroll down to Your Caller IDs

Add a Caller ID:

  • Click on the grey + Plus button
  • Enter a Nickname and the Phone Number you want to display
    • NOTE: Nicknames are not displayed to patients. They are used only to help you easily identify your caller IDs
  • Click on the blue Save Caller ID button to save your changes

Edit a Caller ID:

  • Click on the Pencil icon next to the caller ID you want to update
  • Make your desired changes, then click on the blue Save Caller ID button to save

Delete a Caller ID:

  • Click on the Pencil icon next to the caller ID you want to remove
  • Then click on the red Remove Caller ID button to remove the caller ID
