The following are instructions for Patients ONLY.
Dialer Video call invitations are sent by text message. If you receive the invite on your phone but would rather join from your computer, you can send the video call link to yourself by email.
After sending the link to yourself, open it on your computer and follow the prompts to join the visit.
iOS
- Open the text message that contains your video call invitation.
- Press and hold the video call link to open the action menu.
- Tap Copy Link from the menu that appears
- Open your email app and create a new message.
- Enter your own email address in the To field.
- Paste the video call link into the email message.
- Send the email to yourself.
- On your computer, open the email you sent.
- Click the video call link and follow the on-screen instructions to join.
- From the Video call invite text, press, and hold down on the link to pull up the action sheet. You may also copy the URL from within the call window.
- Select Copy Link.
- Open your email client, tap the blank message body, and select Paste to paste the URL. Enter your email in the "To" field to send the email link to yourself. Tap send.
- Open your email on your computer, double-click on the link, and follow the prompts to join the video call.
Android
NOTE: These steps assume that Chrome is your default internet browser. If Chrome is not your default browser, you may still be able to copy the link by pressing and holding the address bar, then pasting the link into an email or message to yourself.
- Tap the link in the video call invitation text message.
- Once the link opens in your browser, tap the address bar.
- Tap the Share icon that appears under the address bar.
- Select the app you would like to use to send the link to yourself, such as Gmail.
- Address the email or message to yourself and send it.
- Open the email or message on your computer.
- Click the video call link and follow the prompts to join.
