To join your video call, your smartphone browser must have permission to access your camera and microphone.
Follow the steps below to join your video call and allow camera and microphone access.
To join your video call:
- You will receive a text from a 882-86 short phone number inviting you to a video call
- Open the text message from 882-86
- Tap the video call link
- Tap Join Video Call or Allow Camera & Mic Access
NOTE: Android users will join the video call immediately after tapping on Join Video Call or Allow Camera & Mic Access. You will not see the step below.
- If your phone asks for camera or microphone permission, tap Allow
- After you allow access, you will be connected to the video call with your provider.
If You Accidentally Missed or Denied Camera and Microphone Access:
If you accidentally dismissed or denied the camera and microphone prompt, follow the instructions below to update your browser permissions from your phone’s settings.
iOS
- Open your phone’s Settings
- For users on iOS 18.0 or higher, scroll down and tap on Apps
- Tap Safari
- Scroll down to Settings for Websites
- Tap Camera
- Tap Ask
- Tap Safari in the top-left corner to return to the previous screen
- Tap Microphone
- Tap Ask
- After updating these settings, return to the video invite text message and tap the link to join your video visit
Android
- Open your phone’s Settings
- Tap Apps or Apps & Notifications
- Tap Apps or App Info
- Scroll down and tap Chrome
- Tap Permissions
- Tap Camera and make sure camera access is allowed
- Tap Microphone and make sure microphone access is allowed
- After updating these settings, return to the video invite text message and tap the link to join your video visit
