Group Calling on Dialer Video Calls - Pro & Enterprise Only

You can add up to 50 participants to your Dialer Video call, including the provider and patient. To add additional participants, follow the steps below.

Please Note: The system currently does not support dialing extensions when adding a third person while using the VIDEO feature. If you need to include someone in a video appointment who requires an extension, please use the VOICE feature instead. To do so, you will need to call their number and enter the extension before merging the call.

How To Use The 3 Group Calling Options

Option 1: Add an Interpreter

iOS: Tap the 'Interpreter' icon to open a secondary menu. From there, you can either:

  • Choose a previously saved interpreter number, or
  • Tap '+ Add Interpreter' to enter a new number using the dial pad.

If you've added a new number by using the dial pad, tap the green 'Save & Call' icon—the app will then place an audio-only call to the interpreter and connect them to your patient call.

Interpreter numbers are saved automatically and will appear in the secondary 'Interpreter' menu for future use.

You can store and choose from multiple interpreter numbers.

Note: If you need to change your stored interpreter number(s) you can do so at any time by tapping the 'Settings' icon on your dialer home screen.

Android: To access the Interpreter option, tap on the 'More' icon to open a secondary menu. In the secondary menu, tap 'Interpreter'. On the next screen, type in your interpreter’s number and tap on the green 'Call' button. An audio-only call will then be placed, and your interpreter will be connected to the patient session.

Option 2: Add A Participant

iOS: To add a participant, tap the ‘Add People’ icon located at the bottom of your screen. You’ll then have two invite options:

  • Text Link – to send a video call invite via text message
  • Call Phone – to initiate a direct call

Before sending a video invite via text, you can choose the invite language.

Simply use the dropdown menu to select the preferred language.

Then, enter the participant’s phone number and tap ‘Text Link’ to send the video invite.

If the person you are inviting to the video call is covered under the same Enterprise license, they will have the option to "Join as a Clinician" when they join the video call as a video participant. Joining as a clinician will enable them to join with full call controls, including virtual backgrounds and the ability to add additional participants.
