If you're unable to hear your healthcare provider during a Doximity Dialer video appointment, the issue may be related to your Android device's volume settings.
Understanding Your Android Volume Settings
Android devices have separate volume controls for different types of audio, including phone calls, notifications, and media.
When you press the volume buttons on your device, the volume slider that appears may not control the audio for your video appointment.
Because Doximity Dialer video invitations open in your web browser, you'll need to make sure your Media Volume is turned up.
How to Increase Your Media Volume
- Press the Volume Up button on your Android device to display the volume slider.
Tap the three dots or Settings icon at the top of the volume slider to open the expanded volume menu.
- Locate the slider labeled Media or Media Volume.
Move the slider upward to increase the media audio.
- Return to your video appointment and check whether you can hear your healthcare provider.
If your Media Volume was turned down, increasing it should allow you to hear your provider.
NOTE: Volume settings and icons may differ depending on your Android device and software version.
