Doximity offers a HIPAA-secure e-Fax service for MDs, DOs, NPs, Medical Students, PAs, Pharmacists, Podiatrists, and Dentists. For more information, please see our HIPAA compliance policy and privacy policy.
Restrictions for the Doximity free fax line:
- Fax lines are only available to the following specialists: MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, Pharmacists, Medical Students, Podiatrists, and Dentists.
- Faxes can only be sent to domestic fax numbers. International faxing is not supported.
- You must use your Doximity fax line at least once every 6 weeks. If your fax line is not used within that time, Doximity reserves the right to reclaim the number.
- If your fax line has not been used for 6 weeks, you will receive two email reminder notifications before the fax line is deleted
- To keep your fax number active, simply send or receive at least one fax every 6 weeks.
- IMPORTANT: If a fax number is reclaimed, we cannot guarantee that your original fax number can be restored. However, we can provide you with a new fax number.
- All faxes, including sent, received, and archived faxes, are deleted after 7 years. If you would like your faxes retained for a shorter period, you can update your retention settings here.
How to get your free fax number on the Doximity app:
- Open the Doximity app on your mobile device and log in.
- Tap the Fax tab.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the required fields.
- Once completed, your digital fax number will be assigned.
You can locate your fax number on the top middle of your screen in the Fax tab.
How to get your free fax number on the Doximity website:
- Log in to the Doximity website.
- Select the Fax tab on the left side of the screen.
- Click Get Free Fax Number near the top-left corner of the page.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the required fields.
- Once completed, your digital fax number will be assigned.
You can locate your fax number on the top left of your screen in the Fax tab.
