Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): What It Is and How to Enable It

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an additional layer of security to your Doximity account.

In addition to your email address and password, 2FA requires a verification code when signing in.

We recommend enabling 2FA to help protect your account from unauthorized access.

How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication

  • Sign in to Doximity and go to Settings.
  • Under Security Center, click Manage.
  • Next to User Two-Factor Authentication, click Manage.
  • Then click Enable.
  • Choose how you would like to receive your verification codes:
    • Enable SMS Codes
    • Enable Email Codes
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

Signing In With Two-Factor Authentication

Once 2FA is enabled, you will be asked to enter a verification code when prompted during sign-in.

After entering your email address and password, Doximity will send a single-use verification code using the method you selected during setup (Email or Text).

Enter the code on the verification screen to continue signing in.

Verification codes expire after a short period of time and can only be used once.

Backup Codes

When you enable two-factor authentication, you will also receive a set of single-use backup codes.

These codes can be used if you are unable to access your usual verification method.

Keep your backup codes in a secure location where you can access them if needed.

If you need assistance accessing your account and no longer have your backup codes, please contact Doximity Support at: support@doximity.com.
