What is the Community Template Library?
The Scribe Community Template Library is a collection of note templates created and shared by verified Doximity clinicians. You can preview any template, add it to your personal library, and start using it immediately or customize it further to fit your workflow.
Currently available on the Doximity website (desktop). Mobile support coming soon.
How do I browse and apply a community template?
There are two ways to access community templates:
- From the Template Library, go to New Template > Browse Community Templates
- Or toggle your view from My Templates to Community Templates
To apply a community template:
- Search for templates by keyword, specialty, or template type.
- Sort by Most Popular, Newest, Oldest, Title (A-Z), or Title (Z-A).
- Click a template to preview its structure.
- Click "Save template" to add it to your template library.
The template will now appear in your template library and as a drop down the next time you start a Scribe session. You can also edit the template after adding it: open it from Template library > My templates > Edit, make adjustments, and save.
How do I create and submit a template to the Community Library?
1. Click on Template library, click New template and from the drop-down menu, select Start from scratch. Create your own template. Once you have saved your template, navigate back to your templates and click the share icon next to the template you want to share to the Scribe Community.
2. Submit your template for review. A Doximity medical fellow will review it before it is published.
3. Once approved, your template will be visible to other Scribe users in the Community templates library.
Because all community templates are reviewed before publishing, please allow for 1-2 weeks for your submission to appear in the library. You will be notified by email once your template has been approved or if it has suggested changes.
Note: Sharing templates to the community library is only available on the Doximity website at this time.
How are submitted templates reviewed?
All templates submitted to the Community Template Library are reviewed by a Doximity Medical Fellow before they are published. This review process is designed to ensure that templates are clinically accurate and appropriate for use in patient documentation. If a template needs revisions, we'll reach out via email with suggestions.
